Hamilton Sod, LLC began as Walton Sod Farm in 1967, when we planted our first field of Tifton Bermuda in Hamilton, Georgia. This richly soiled farm lies at the base of Pine Mountain, the most southern tip of the Appalachian Mountains, where centuries of top soil has collected to form rich, fertile farm land, perfect for growing quality sod. From our small beginnings in 1967, the farm now harvests over 100+ acres of first-rate Tifton Bermuda and Centipede sod turf annually.

Still owned and operated by the Walton family, the business now operates under the name of Hamilton Sod, LLC. Through the years we have responded to our customer base by timely meeting their needs. We pride ourselves in our “on-time” delivery of “quality” turf sod, delivering to customers throughout the state of Georgia. To the folks at Hamilton Sod, LLC, “on-time” means making the delivery on the date that we agreed upon with our customer to have it there.

Since 1967, we have worked hard at devising our own methods of propagating the very best of turf quality. We understand that our customers want the best and want it when they need it. There in lies our success.

Hamilton Sod, LLC is an active member in Turfgrass Producers International, Georgia Sod Producers Association and the Greater Columbus Homebuilders Association.
